Seventh Retreat of the DFG Research Unit COSIMA
online
15.02.2022 – 17.02.2022
The COSIMA research group met for the seventh time for a three-day research retreat from February 15-17, 2022.
The focus of the retreat was on the core topic of "process data analysis". This narrowing happened based on the studies and preliminary findings that emerged from the first funding phase as well as those that have emerged from the second funding phase so far. These were reflected upon with a focus on the sets of hypotheses stated in the funding application. On the basis of subproject-specific presentations and following discussion rounds, there was room for intensive scientific discussion, especially with regard to special features and interprojective interfaces in terms of implementation and interpretation of research methods and findings.
Prof. Dr. Garvin Brod from the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education (Frankfurt am Main) fortunately enriched the retreat with a talk on "Towards Individualized Learning with Technology: Meeting the Needs of All Ages" as an external guest and contributed his highly valuable expertise in a fruitful afterwards discussion with the entire research group.
